Father’s
Name: Alikkal Narayana Guptan Hariharan joined Kerala Kalamandalam at the age of 16 to learn Mizhavu drumming. His debut performance was at the Aiyyappankavu, Cheruplassery a year later. He completed a four year diploma and two years of higher training (with a scholarship from the govt. of India) at Kalamandalam. His Gurus are Kalamandalam Eshwaran Unni and V.K.K.Hariharan. From 1995 onwards he has been working at the Ammannur Chachu Chakyar Smaraka Gurukulam as a Mizhavu artiste. He has also participated at several national Theatre festivals in India such as Khajuraho, Kutiyattam festival conducted by Kendra Sangeet Nataka Academy etc. He has toured abroad widely with several of the prominent Kutiyattam artistes. He has also made a good work for several new productions of Guru Ammannur Madhava Chakyar, G.Venu’s Sakuntalam,Vikramorvasheeyam, Ammannur Kuttan Chakyar’s Mayashiras and Margi Sathy’s SreeRamacharitham nangiarkoothu & Kannakicharitham Nangiarkoothu. He performed as a Police man in association with the character Fisherman in Sakuntalam. He has worked with all the prominent artistes and institutes in the field of Kutiyattam and has toured extensively in India and abroad with the Gurukulam troupe.
