Father’s Name: Kunjunni Chakyar Ammannur Kuttan Chakyar is the nephew of the great Guru Ammannur Madhava Chakyar and an eminent performer of Kutiyattam. He has trained under his uncles Guru Ammannur Madhava Chakyar ,Guru Ammannur Parameswara Chakyar and Ammannur Kochukuttan Chakyar and learned Sanskrit from Paykkat Parameswaran Nambutirippad. He has received scholarship and junior fellowship from the Government of India for his training in Kutiyattam. Since his debut in 1966 at the Koodalmanickyam Koothambalam, he has been performing regularly in the major temples and Koothambalams of Kerala. He has also participated in several major Festivals along with the Gurukulam in India and abroad like England, Holland, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Japan, SouthKorea, Maleysia . He was awarded the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi award in 2003. He contributed in a big way to the revival and presentation of Naganandam in Kutiyattam. He directed the 5th and 6th acts of the Abhisheka Natakam; Mayashiras and Prathamadviteeyamkam respectively. He also composed and performed first time, the part of Vidushaka in the production of Abhijnana Sakuntalam. He is able to perform Prabanthakutu as Ramayanam, Bhagavatdutu, Subhadraharanam, Panchaleesvayamvaram and Kutiyattam like Balivadham, Toranayudham, Surpanakhamkam, Subhadradhanamjayam, Tapateesamvaranam, Jatayuvadham, Asokavanikamkam and Amguliyamkam. Presently he is working as a teacher at the Ammannur Chachuchakyar Smaraka Gurukulam Irinjalakuda.
