Father’s
Name: Mani Parameswara Chakyar Narayanan Nambiar is the grandson of the well-known Panivadaratnam Ravunni Nambiar. He started his training in Mizhavu under his grandfather at the age of 6.His debut was a year later at the Edanad Durga Devi temple. He joined Kalamandalam in 1989 and completed his diploma in Mizhavu drumming under the tutelage of Sri.Eshwaranunni Warrier. Then with a scholarship from Govt of India he studied Sanskrit Language under Unnikrishnan Ilayath. He is trained in Patakam. He has also learnt Chutti (Kutiyattam Make-up) under Kalanilayam Parameswaran.He has also recieved a junior fellowship from the Govt of India. He is well versed in Stage management, and has also assisted Kalamandalam Ram Mohan to design costume for new production in Kutiyattam. He has performed at several imporatant Temples of Kerala including Guruvayur Srikrishna temple, Triprayar, Kottiyur, Vadakkumnathan, Koodalmanickyam etc. He has also participated at several Dance and Theatre festivals in India such as Khajuraho, Bharath Rang Mahotsav etc.He has toured abroad widely with several of the prominent Kutiyattam artistes. He has worked in all the new productions of G.Venu, Ammannur Kuttan Chakyar and Margi Madhu. From 1994 onwards he has been working with Natanakairali and Ammanur Gurukulam and since 1999 he has become a staff member at the Ammannur Gurukulam.
